Friday, Oct 13th 8:30 VIP bus will pick us up at our hotel for our next adventure to Len Libby Candies where you will see “Lenny” the 1700-pound chocolate moose. Next stop will be Nubble Lighthouse, built in 1897 on Cape Neddick in York, ME is one of the most beloved and photographed lighthouses in the state. Now that we have worked up an appetite, we’ll enjoy an old fashion Maine Lobster Bake at Foster’s Clambake. Lunch will start with Clam chowder, followed by steamed mussels and clams, a whole Maine lobster, corn on the cob, potatoes, onions, and a piece of blueberry cake for dessert! Alternative Chicken and Vegetarian options are available. There is a cash bar where guests can try a beer from one of Maine's many microbreweries. During lunch there will also be live entertainment from a local Maine artist. You will also enjoy a two-hour guided tour of Kennebunkport where you’ll see places like the Franciscan Monastery, Seashore Trolley Museum, Wedding Cake House, President Bush Senior's summer home, also known as the "Summer White House", and many historical inns, beautiful beaches, and rocky coastline. We will return to our hotel about 17:00.
Saturday, Oct 14th 9:00 Land & Sea Trolley will pick us up at our hotel for a guided tour of Portland and South Portland. The tour includes a stop at the famous Portland Head Light. After the trolley tour you'll be dropped off outside of DiMillo's Family Restaurant, the largest floating restaurant on the east coast, and within walking distance of dozens of other outstanding restaurants for lunch on your own. Take this opportunity to pop in one of the local shops, stroll along the cobblestone streets, and explore all that the Old Port has to offer. After lunch, we will board the vessel, the Islander, for a 90-minute guided tour of Casco Bay. On the cruise you will get to see the many islands that dot the bay, gorgeous views of the Portland skyline, and the lighthouses along the rugged coast of Maine. There will be a full bar and snacks available for purchase on the boat. Keep an eye out for wildlife, like harbor seals.
